Minguavos

Minguavos formed in Rio de Janeiro with Bruno Boncini on vocals, Guilherme Fonseca on bass, Marcelo Mira on drums, and Luis Maranhão on guitar. Their self-titled debut came out in 2003, followed by the 2005 album Lições, which included the song of the same name. They put out three more records through 2015: Ópaque in 2008, O Que Não Pára in 2011, and Para Onde Vai Coração in 2015.

Their track Lições became a particular touchstone, a ballad about relationships that connected with listeners. Other songs like Mundo Sem Resposta and O Amanhã Nunca É Tarde round out their catalog. The band's early material sometimes drew criticism for its direct style, but they kept working.

Minguavos built a following in Brazil over those years, playing shows and releasing music. They haven't put out a new album since 2015, but the songs from their five records still get played.
