Minha Rosa formed in São Paulo in 2004, with Laila Rosa on vocals, Mauricio Pereira on guitar, Zé Nigro on bass, and Marcos Suzano on percussion. They later added keyboardist André Neiva and drummer Paulinho Black. Their first album came out in 2006, simply called 'Minha Rosa.'
Their 2009 album 'Brilho da Cidade' gave them a song that connected with people in Brazil's cities. The track 'Brilho da Cidade' had a beat that stuck with you and lyrics about urban life that felt real, not just decorative. They kept putting out records after that, like 'Nação Zumbi' in 2012 and 'Telúrica' in 2018.
