Ministério Confiança

Ministério Confiança formed in 1964 with brothers Jairo and Joel de Almeida joining Paulo Monteiro. They started playing in small churches, dealing with financial struggles while focusing on songs about faith and Christ. Their music eventually reached a wider audience in Brazil, with their 1982 album 'A Vida É Um Sopro' reportedly selling well.

Their song 'Aleluia' became particularly widespread, crossing language barriers and being covered by other artists. They recorded over 30 albums including 'Deus É Fiel' in 1985 and 'Santo, Santo, Santo' in 1994, with songs like 'Confiança' and 'Rei Dos Reis' becoming staples in their catalog.

Alongside their music, the group faced criticism about their finances and theology. They also ran social assistance programs and were involved in discussions about religious freedom in Brazil. The core lineup included Jairo de Almeida on vocals, Joel de Almeida on guitar, Paulo Monteiro on drums, Eduardo Souto on bass, and Marcelo Ayres on keys.
