Ministério Geração Eleita

Ministério Geração Eleita formed in 2000 in Duque de Caxias, Rio de Janeiro, a group of young musicians who wanted to make gospel music that felt current. Their sound pulls from pop and rock while keeping the directness of traditional gospel, with songs like "Cristo Vive Em Mim" and "Santidade" built around clear melodies and straightforward lyrics about faith.

Rafael Bitencourt and Bruna Karla have handled lead vocals, with Rodrigo Tavares on bass, Rafael Castilho on drums, and Marcelo Santos on keyboards. They've worked with other Brazilian gospel artists like Aline Barros and Fernandinho, but the band's focus has stayed on their own material rather than becoming a collaborative project.

In 2015, the group faced some public criticism over a performance at a political event, which briefly put them in a different kind of spotlight. They kept recording and playing, though, with songs like "A Vitória é Do Povo De Deus" and "Aqui Tem Fogo" maintaining their place in Brazilian gospel playlists.
