Ministério Hallel

Ministério Hallel formed in 1999 around singer-songwriter Ana Paula Valadão Bessa. Their early work included songs like 'Molda-Me' and 'Bendito Seja o Senhor Deus' that became staples in Brazilian worship settings.

Some listeners found their approach to worship music too contemporary, which created occasional friction with more traditional audiences. The group kept recording anyway, putting out material like 'Shuv L'Israel' and 'Naalê' that maintained their straightforward lyrical focus.

They recorded a live album in Israel in 2006, continuing to build a catalog that stayed centered on worship themes without much stylistic diversion. Their songs tended to work in congregational settings, which helped them maintain a consistent presence in that space.
