Ministério Novo Felipão

Ministério Novo Felipão started in 1994 at the Novo Felipão Pentecostal church in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. Pastor Davi de Souza led the group, which put out its first album "Não Dá Sem Jesus" two years later. That record included the song "Sem Jesus Não Dá," which became widely known in Brazilian gospel circles.

Their music, like "Eu Sou Vencedor" and "Socorro Imediato," carried straightforward messages of faith. The group maintained a consistent lineup with de Souza on vocals and guitar. They released several more albums through the 2000s, including "Libertação" in 2000 and "Identidade" in 2006.

While popular, the band faced criticism over church finances and theological positions. They kept recording despite these challenges, staying focused on their Pentecostal church roots.
