Ministério TDG formed in the early 2000s in Rio de Janeiro, with Alexandre Lima and Mauro Henrique starting the group. They were joined by vocalist Daniela Araújo and guitarist Gustavo Soares. Their debut album 'Novo Tempo' came out in 2007, featuring the track 'Ele Merece' that became popular in Brazil's Christian music circles.
They released several albums over the following years, including 'Elo' in 2009, 'Tempo de Vida' in 2012, 'Em Busca da Verdade' in 2015, and 'Luz' in 2018. Songs like 'Eu Sou Um Vencedor' and 'Sou Grato a Ti' appear among their most recognized work.
In 2010, the group was involved in a public dispute with another Christian band over plagiarism claims. The current lineup includes Lima on vocals and piano, Araújo on vocals, Henrique on guitar and vocals, Soares on guitar, Bruno Martins on bass, and Rogério Luiz on drums.
