Missão Galileia

Missão Galileia formed in 1998 as a worship group at the Igreja Batista da Lagoinha in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. André Valadão sang lead vocals, joined by his sisters Mariana and Priscilla. They started playing at churches and small events, building a following gradually rather than quickly.

Their music blends worship with pop and rock elements. One of their well-known songs is "Leão Rei," which has the kind of melodic quality that connects with their audience. They've released several albums over time, but the focus has stayed on their core sound rather than dramatic shifts in style.

Some listeners criticized their contemporary approach as too secular for Christian music, while others appreciated their openness about personal struggles.
