Mizael Lima

Mizael Lima grew up in Guarapari, Brazil, in a Christian family where music was part of daily life. He started singing in his local church and taught himself guitar. In 1997, he put out his first album, 'Tempo de Graça,' which got him noticed in Brazilian gospel circles.

His song 'Soldado Ferido' came out in 2003 and became widely known, though it also drew some criticism from religious groups who questioned its message. Lima kept making music through that period, with other tracks like 'Tu És Digno' and 'Bendita Será' finding their own audiences.

He's recorded with musicians like Rogério Feltrin on bass and Vinicius Cabral on drums. Later albums include 'O Vencedor' from 2006 and an acoustic release in 2008. Songs such as 'Buscar-me Ei' and 'Davi' show his continued focus on gospel themes with Brazilian rhythmic touches.
