He came from a religious family background and eventually formed what he called Mizael Vaz Ministry in 2005, working with other singers and musicians on worship material.
His 2010 album 'Deus Absoluto' gave him one of his better-known songs by the same name, a track that found some traction among Brazilian Christian listeners. Another song, 'Desperta Igreja,' also became part of his repertoire. The music tended toward worship and praise with some contemporary rock elements, built around melodies and lyrics focused on religious themes.
In 2017, Vaz faced accusations of plagiarism concerning his song 'Rompendo,' which he denied. That same year, he released an album titled 'Rompendo.'
