MM! formed in 2001 with Mio Okamura on vocals and guitar, Nanami Nagura on bass, and Masumi Yasunaka on drums. Their debut album 'Embrace' came out in 2003. Nagura left in 2006, and Megumi Yoshida joined as the new bassist.
In 2006, they released 'Help ~Heaven Side~,' which became their most recognized song. It's a rock track with themes of loss and hope, anchored by Okamura's vocals. Other songs from that period include 'Hallelujah Study!' and 'More More Lovers.'
They kept recording after that, with albums like 'Beyond the Shadow' in 2008, 'Ima, Kimi ga Inai' in 2011, and 'Love Letter' in 2017. Okamura's outspoken views drew some criticism around 2008, but the band continued working.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
