M.M.O. was a Brazilian quartet that formed in 2005. Their debut album 'Boquinha de Veludo' came out in 2008, with the title track becoming a hit that blended samba and soul. They followed it with albums like 'A Vida Como Ela É' in 2010 and 'Assim Que Se Faz' in 2014, which drew from Bossa Nova and Afrobeat among other styles.
Maria Gadú left the group in 2013 to work solo. The remaining members put out a fourth album called 'Longe de Casa' in 2017. Their songs included 'Em Terra de Cego Quem Tem Olho É Alvo' and 'A Jazzy Rhyme'.
