Monah started in Los Angeles around 2017, with Kyle Meredith as the frontman. Their first single 'Bad Trip' came out that year, and it had a dreamy, psychedelic quality that caught some attention. The band put out an EP with that same name, then followed with a full album called 'Echo Chamber' in 2019.
Around that time, there was some legal trouble over their music rights, which they eventually worked through. By 2022, they'd released 'The Loner,' which moved toward a more straightforward pop direction than their earlier material. The lineup included Ian Sheridan on guitar, Zachariah Hickman on bass, and Dylan Hamm on drums alongside Meredith.
