Mood Robot

Mood Robot formed in Manchester around 2008, with James Rhodes handling vocals and synths while Alex Porter played bass and programmed. They put out their first EP, 'Heartstrings,' in 2012, and followed it with the album 'Lose Your Heart' two years later. That record included the track 'Lose Your Heart,' which became one of their better-known songs.

Their music leans toward synth-pop, with Rhodes' vocals often sitting over programmed beats and melodic synth lines. Other songs like 'Crown' and 'Gimme Back My Love' show the same blend of electronic production and straightforward pop writing. They've kept a fairly steady output since those early releases, without dramatically shifting their sound.
