Moraz formed in the late 1990s as a collaboration between Renato Godoi and João Baptista. Their debut album 'Tudo Sobre Você...' came out in 2002, with the title track becoming a hit. The band has released six studio albums, including 'Máscaras' in 2004 and 'Cura' in 2007.
In 2006, lead singer João Baptista left the group and was replaced by Alírio Netto. Their music draws from classical, progressive rock, and Brazilian rhythms. Another of their songs is 'Num Mundo Sem Cores'.
