Mosquito-Milk

Mosquito-Milk formed in Berlin in the late 2010s around vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Emily True and producer-bassist Paul Berger. They worked with limited resources early on, making music that didn't fit neatly into existing categories.

Their 2021 single "Monkey" gained unexpected attention online. The track's unusual structure and haunting vocal delivery drew listeners in, though it also divided critics who found it either inventive or overly difficult. That reaction gave the band a profile they hadn't had before.

After "Monkey," they put out albums like 2022's "Solstice" and 2023's "Serpentine," continuing to fold in elements from jazz and classical music without settling into a predictable pattern. Their recordings have remained a collaboration between True and Berger, built around experimental approaches to sound.
