Mousse T

Mousse T formed in Berlin in 1991, started by DJs Erhan Kurkun and Mustafa Gündoğdu. They worked with vocalist Emma Lanford, whose voice gave their tracks a distinctive presence. Their sound pulled from house and R&B, built around basslines that worked on dancefloors.

One of their best-known tracks is "Horny," which got attention for its direct lyrics about desire. It became a hit in clubs and stirred some debate at the time. Other songs like "All Nite Madness" and "Bounce" kept that same energy, straightforward and built for movement.

They put out albums like Gourmet de Funk in 1998 and All Nite Long in 2001. The music didn't overcomplicate things, it was functional, rhythmic, and unapologetically physical. In a scene that sometimes took itself too seriously, Mousse T kept things simple and effective.
