MR Cardan started out as a four-piece band in São Paulo around 2016, originally calling themselves Os Amigos do Bairro. The group included Lucas Oliveira on vocals, Vinícius Rosa on guitar, Murilo Gonçalves on bass, and Rodrigo Silva on drums.
Things picked up for them in 2018 with the single 'Só Grau,' which featured Thiago Reis. That track got some attention and led to a deal with the label Som Livre.
They put out their first album 'Sem Filtro' in 2019, then followed it with 'Na Mesma Frequência' in 2021. In 2020, there was some talk about similarities between one of their songs and another group's track, but that's about as much as we know.
