Mr. President was a German pop group that found global attention in the mid-1990s with the dance track "Coco Jamboo." The song became a staple of the Eurodance scene at the time. The group consisted of vocalist LayZee, rapper T-Seven, and producer Sir Prophet.
Their debut album, "Up'n Away," arrived in 1994 and featured the hit "Coco Jamboo" along with other tracks like "I Give You My Heart." They followed it with "We See the Same Sun" in 1996 and "Spacegate" in 1997, which leaned into more electronic and futuristic sounds. Another album, "Nightclub," came out in 2000.
LayZee left the group in 1997 to work on solo material. The band also dealt with some legal issues involving their record label and copyright disputes over "Coco Jamboo." Other songs from their catalog include "Show Me The Way," "I Love To Love," and "Ill Follow The Sun."
