Muito Mais Que Isso formed in São Paulo in the mid-1990s with Paulo Miklos on vocals, Toni Platão on bass, Pedro Pelotas on drums, and Marcelo Fromer on guitar. Their 1997 debut album 'Como Um Vicio' gave them an early hit with its title track, a ballad about addiction that became something of a classic in Brazilian rock circles. They followed it with albums like 'MM' in 2000 and 'A Mil Por Hora' in 2003.
The original lineup broke up in 2005, with Miklos going solo for a while. The band later regrouped with different members, including guitarist Beto Lee. They kept releasing records through the 2000s and 2010s, like 'Brota na Sala' in 2009 and 'O Baile' in 2013. Other songs from their catalog include 'Show da Vida' and 'Trabalho Pra Sociedade'.
In 2009, they faced plagiarism accusations over a song called 'Odeio Meu Vizinho,' which they denied. The current lineup features Miklos back on vocals alongside Lee and Márcio Buzelin.
