Mundomusik

Mundomusik was a German electronic music group active in the 1990s and early 2000s, led by producer Andreas Ammer. Their sound was hard to pin down, mixing ambient textures with techno and what was sometimes called world music. They first gained attention with their 1994 debut album, which included the track 'I'm Coming'.

Vocalist Judith Beckmann contributed to that song, and the group also worked with Peter Gabriel, appearing on his 1994 album 'Us'. Their lineup shifted over time, with Ammer as the consistent figure. They released several albums, including 'Flux' in 1996 and 'Transcendental' in 1998.

Their approach was experimental and drew from various sources, which sometimes made them a difficult fit for mainstream channels. They stopped releasing new music after the mid-2000s.
