Johnny was a sailor with leave at shore and twentyone years at sea

and every port that John went into, soon would follow the ladies

Johnny knew he didn't have time this time for a frolicking liaison

for his pirate ship it needed a crew, sit back the best parts yet to come. Well...

Mary was the mother of a strapping young lad, six foot tall and growin

the older he got the more he looked like his pa, his features he was showin

a day like any other day when a ship made bay she sent him to the dock to see
