Must Die

Must Die formed in Philadelphia in 2005 with vocalist Jeremy DePoyster, guitarist Chris McMahon, bassist Pat Lachman, and drummer Keith Barney. They built a reputation for intense live shows that sometimes got physical, and DePoyster's lyrics and political views could stir things up offstage too.

Their 2009 album 'Back from the God' gave them a solid anchor. The title track became a staple, and the record mixed heavy aggression with some atmospheric, almost melodic touches. They kept putting out albums roughly every few years after that, like 'The Flood' in 2011 and 'A.O.A.' in 2014.

That core four-piece stayed together through most of the band's run. Songs like 'Fire Of Phoenix' and 'Psychiatric' from their catalog show the kind of charged, industrial-tinged metal they worked in. They were active for about fifteen years, releasing music into the late 2010s.
