My Favorite Scar formed in 2003 around childhood friends Jonathan Bradford and Zach Carper from Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. They started playing together with influences from punk, metal, and indie rock, drawing from bands like Foo Fighters, Thrice, and Deftones.
Their debut EP 'The River Runs Red' came out in 2006, followed by the 2009 album 'Exquisite Corpse.' That album included 'Burndown,' which became a regular part of their live shows. Other songs from their catalog include 'Kingsize,' 'Liberty Is Dead,' 'Lie To Me,' and 'Lost.'
In 2012, guitarist Zach Carper left the band, and Dave Jones joined on guitar. They kept touring and recording after that change.
