My Favorite Accident formed in 2004 with Justin Pierre on vocals and guitar, Emily Haines also on vocals and guitar, Chris Eacrett on bass, and Rebecca Sugar on keyboards. Their debut album came out in 2006, and the single "Have You Seen My Baseball?" got some attention for its direct, emotional lyrics.
In 2011, Rebecca Sugar left to work on other projects, including the animated series "Steven Universe." The band kept going after that, putting out albums like "Worry" in 2012 and "Cynics" in 2015. Songs like "Kill The Drama, Start The Party" and "Last Summer's Breakdown" show the kind of indie rock they were making during those years.
They announced a hiatus in 2017.
