Myles Kennedy

Myles Kennedy was born in Spokane, Washington in 1969. He started playing music seriously in the late 1990s with his band Mayfield Four, which put out two albums before he joined Alter Bridge in 2004. That band, formed with former Creed members Mark Tremonti, Brian Marshall, and Scott Phillips, became his main outlet for heavy melodic rock.

Around 2009, Kennedy began working with Slash, singing on the guitarist's solo albums including 'Apocalyptic Love' and 'World on Fire.' He's kept both projects going while also releasing his own material, like the 2018 solo album 'Year of the Tiger' that includes the song 'Love Can Only Heal.'

His voice has a particular range that works across different rock styles, from Alter Bridge's anthems to Slash's more straightforward hard rock. Songs like 'Back From Cali' and 'Haunted By Design' show how he can shift between those approaches while keeping his vocal character recognizable.
