Myrkr formed in 2015 as the project of vocalist and guitarist Lars Mikael Sture. They're a Norwegian black metal band that has released two full-length albums and several EPs, including their self-titled debut in 2015 and 'Death's Embrace' in 2018.
Their 2020 EP 'Deadly Winds & Paralyzing Cold' captures their sound well, bleak, atmospheric, and built around icy guitar work and Sture's vocals. The current lineup includes Ole Borud on bass and Espen Martin Knutsen on drums.
But those elements seem to have become part of their identity rather than derailing them.
