Myxx

Myxx formed in Los Angeles in the late 1990s with Anya Marina on vocals, Christopher Marshak on guitar and vocals, Ben Harper on bass, and John Thomas on drums. They started playing in local clubs and dive bars, working out their sound before getting much attention from labels.

Their song 'Lotta Love' came out in 1999 and became their breakthrough track. It had acoustic guitars, layered vocals, and a rhythm that caught on with listeners. The band's self-titled debut album followed, mixing folk, pop, and some electronic touches. Other songs like 'Big Talk' and 'Dear Me' showed their range.

Myxx released two more albums called 'Two' and 'Three' after their debut. Their lyrics often dealt with love and heartbreak, which sometimes drew discussion for being emotionally direct. The band kept a steady presence through the early 2000s with songs like 'GIRLS NIGHT OUT' and 'Go' rounding out their catalog.
