A four-piece Brazilian group mixing rap, hip-hop, and funk since forming in 2019.
For their mix of rap energy and pop hooks, try 'Jogo de Azar' or the early single 'Brigas e Brigas'. Both give you a sense of how they work together.
They came out of São Paulo with a sound that pulls from rap, hip-hop, and funk, then layered in pop and trap elements. Songs like 'Jogo de Azar' show how they balance catchy melodies with beats from producer Nobru. Some in Brazil's rap community called their approach too commercial early on, but they kept working and found an audience.
N4j formed in 2019 with rappers Nilo and JottaPê, singer-songwriter Jhowzinho, and producer Nobru. Their debut single 'Brigas e Brigas' came out in 2020, followed by tracks like 'Nem tudo' and 'john'. They've released several singles and albums since, with Nilo handling most of the rapping and Jhowzinho on vocals.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
