Naast's breakout track 'Mauvais Garçon' became their signature in France, a stark electro-pop song about alienation that Desportes also directed the video for. Their sound has stayed consistent across four albums, built around those brooding electronic backdrops and lyrics that lean into themes of loneliness. Songs like 'Coeur De Glace' and 'La Fille Que J'aime' follow that same atmospheric vein.
Naast formed in 2010 with vocalist Maëlle Desportes, bassist Hugo Esquerre, and drummer David Bourguignon. They put out their first album Éphémère in 2013, then 'Mauvais Garçon' became their breakout track from the 2016 album of the same name. They've released four albums through 2022, including La Nuit in 2019 and Les Ombres in 2022.
