Naaz formed in Delhi in the early 2000s with four members: Amit Gupta on vocals, Anurag Kulkarni on guitar, Akshat Trivedi on keyboards, and Vikrant Sikri on drums. Their debut single "As Fun" came out in 2005 and became popular both in India and internationally, capturing attention with its catchy melodies and dance rhythms.
They released their debut album "As Fun" in 2006, followed by other albums including "Yaadein" in 2008, "Har Pal" in 2011, and "Jeet" in 2019. Their songs like "damage:(", "Do You?", and "SADBOY" continued to explore emotional territory with a pop sensibility.
In 2008, their song "Bhage Re Mann" drew criticism from some religious groups who found the lyrics objectionable. The band maintained their artistic direction through this period while continuing to release music.
