Nacha Pop

Nacha Pop formed in Madrid in 1978 with Antonio Vega on vocals and guitar, his brother Nacho García Vega on bass, and Carlos Brooking on drums. They took their name from the film 'Nacha Regules,' a nod to the Spanish actress. The band released four studio albums between 1980 and 1987, including their self-titled debut and 'Buena Disposición.'

Their song 'Lucha de Gigantes' became widely known in Spain after its 1984 release, though it's not listed among their top tracks in current catalogs. Instead, songs like 'Alguien Te Va Hacer Llorar' and 'El Sitio de Mi Recreo' appear more frequently in streaming collections. They recorded 'Una décima de segundo' with Teo Cardalda.

Nacha Pop disbanded in 1988. Antonio Vega later worked as a solo artist until his death in 2009. The group's straightforward pop-rock arrangements and Vega's distinctive vocal delivery kept their music in rotation on Spanish radio long after they stopped recording together.
