Archive material and source history
Nad Prahou formed in Prague in the early 2000s, with Vojta Dyk on vocals and guitar, Ivan Král on guitar, Jan Ládek on bass, and Ondřej Brousek on drums. They released their self-titled debut album in 2004, followed by Hádej in 2007 and Tyhle slzy jsou pravý in 2011.
In 2012, guitarist Ivan Král died, a loss that deeply affected the band. They continued, releasing Zoči Voči in 2014, which included the single "Zoči Voči" that became a hit in the Czech Republic. The band faced internal tensions over time, leading to lineup changes, but put out another album, Melodrama, in 2017. Dyk, known for his emotionally charged vocal style, also worked in theater, film, and television outside the band.
