Well i was walking through the green, green grass just minding my own affairs

When i came across a bright green ever hungry polar bear

He took me by my empty hand and took me with his stare

And then we started dancing in the howling midnight air

We keep on pushing we keep on rushing oooh

He drove me to a city bright with shiny city lights

And i was blinded by the gleam and all them promised heights

Each window danced before me like sweet girls in underwear

There was nothing i could do, i'd walked into his lair

He pointed out some shiny boots he knew would fit me fine

And i could barely keep myself from screaming how sublime

High heeled, black, up to my knees just how i like em yeah

He knew just what'd fit me, he knew just what i'd wear

And sure enough they fit me fine just like he said they would

And i felt like that queen divine just like i knew i would

But the price i paid was all i had and all i ever was

I lost myself amidst the greed filled howling midnight fog

He'll only lead you way astray and far from who you are

So don't get fooled by shiny boots or get in strange bear's cars

He bit me hard, he bit me deep, he bit me to the bone

Was like i blinked and then somehow i lost my way back home

I've paid my price i've paid my dues and now i stand here telling you
