Nadia

Nadia formed in Mexico City in 1992, originally as a trio with Daniela Romo, Yuri, and Onda Vaselina. Their debut album "La Academia" gave them their first major hit with the title track, a Mexican pop song with dance rhythms that connected with listeners. Onda Vaselina left the group in 1995, and Romo and Yuri continued as a duo.

They kept recording through the late 1990s and early 2000s, putting out albums like "Sueños de Libertad" in 1996 and "Plenitud" in 2000. Their songs included romantic ballads like "Abrazame" and "Acariciame" alongside more uptempo material. Some listeners noted similarities between "La Academia" and earlier work by another artist, though the band continued performing and releasing music.

As a duo, their sound shifted toward what some described as more mature arrangements. They recorded "La Fuerza del Corazón" in 2004, and songs like "Aca Entre Nos (D.D.E.)" and "Acostúmbrame Al Cielo" showed their range from heartfelt ballads to pop anthems. Their catalog includes tracks like "Contigo Si," "Life Of a Stranger," and "Ahora Soy De Hielo."
