Archive material and source history
Nahemah formed in Austria in 1993 with brothers Alexander and Moritz Kaar, plus drummer Bernhard Wohlmuth. Their first album, 'The Perennial Darkness,' came out in 1996. They put out a few more records, including 'A Crystal Delirium' in 1999, which had songs like 'Absynthe' and 'Air.'
Wohlmuth left in 2001, and Thomas Bochter joined on drums. The band's lyrics sometimes touched on dark themes, which led to some pushback at shows. They kept going for a bit, releasing 'The Second Appearance' in 2002.
Nahemah broke up in 2003. Their catalog includes those four albums and some shorter releases. Songs like 'Autumn Is My Sin' and 'From the Temples High' show their mix of heavy and atmospheric sounds.
