A Japanese band crafting haunting ballads and experimental electronic compositions since 2009.
For a good sense of their range, try 'Out of the Great Book of Fairy Tales' and 'Static'. One's a ballad, the other's more electronic, but they both have that Naio Ssaion feel.
They've built a catalog that moves between the delicate piano balladry of 'Out of the Great Book of Fairy Tales' and more abstract electronic pieces. Their 2016 album 'Eden' and 2019's 'Stillness' show a group refining their own particular blend of atmosphere and restraint. They've kept at it despite some criticism about their electronic choices and low-key public profile.
Formed in 2009 with vocalist Sayuri, guitarist Yumi, pianist Yuuka, and bassist Reika. They put out their debut EP 'A Transient Dream' in 2012, followed by the song 'Ailu' in 2014, then the albums 'Eden' and 'Stillness'.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
