Editor's note

Nanda Dias, the Brazilian pop band from São Paulo

A late-1990s group whose song "A Moça da Novela" became a TV theme and lasting party hit.

For a quick sense of them, "A Moça da Novela" is the obvious start. "Eu errei" holds up as a solid follow.

Nanda Dias had one of those songs that just stuck around. "A Moça da Novela" started as a television theme and ended up a staple at weddings and parties for years. Their other tracks, like "Eu errei" and "Xote," kept that same catchy, straightforward pop feel.

They formed in São Paulo in the late 1990s, naming themselves after a telenovela character. The self-titled debut in 1999 brought the big hit, and they put out two more albums before disbanding in 2006.
