Não Linear

Não Linear formed in the early 2000s when Felipe Cordeiro, Fernando Anitelli, and Chico Chico started making music together. They worked with electronic sounds, rock elements, and Brazilian rhythms, though they never seemed interested in fitting neatly into one genre.

Their first album came out in 2006, called "Não Sei" after the song of the same name. That track, along with others like "Te Amo" and "Veja a Flor," gave listeners a sense of their approach: layered electronics, steady rhythms, and lyrics that could feel both personal and abstract. By 2010, they had released a second album called "Mantra," which leaned further into electronic textures.

Some critics found their music too experimental for mainstream tastes, but the band kept making what they wanted to make. They developed a following among people who appreciated their particular blend of sounds, even if it wasn't for everyone.
