A Porto Alegre band whose music carried on through tragedy and long hiatuses.
For the early sound, '2 Dias 2 Fins' still hits. From later work, 'Nada é Incerto' has that same directness.
Their 1990 debut established a sound that felt both urgent and isolated, with lyrics that spoke plainly about alienation. The song '2 Dias 2 Fins' became a live staple, capturing that mix of raw energy and melancholy. Even after bassist Mauricio Mabilia's death in 1996, they kept making records like '1997: Um Ano de Lutas' the next year.
They formed in Porto Alegre in the late 1980s and put out their first album in 1990. After Mabilia's accident, they released '1997: Um Ano de Lutas', went on hiatus around 2000, then reunited in 2012. Later albums included 'Deserto' in 2015 and 'Nós' in 2020.
