Narrow Head

Narrow Head formed in 2013 in Dripping Springs, Texas, with Jacob Duarte on vocals and guitar, Ryan Parks on bass, and James Dyal on drums. They put out their first album, Satisfaction, in 2015, followed by 12th House Rock in 2017 and Moments of Clarity in 2021. Songs like Nodding Off and Necrosis show their lean toward dark, atmospheric rock with lyrics that often circle around isolation and personal struggle.

Duarte writes most of the material, and the band's sound has evolved from the raw energy of their debut to something more polished on their later records. Their music doesn't shy away from difficult subjects, which has drawn both listeners who connect with that honesty and some criticism about the tone. They've kept at it without much flash, building a catalog that feels consistent in its moody, introspective approach.
