Nashley formed in the late 1990s in Termoli, Italy, with Ivo Tosolini on vocals, Michele Rubino on guitar, Antonio Marotta on bass, and Francesco Formiello on drums. Their 2002 debut album 'Labirinto' included the track 'Cenere,' which became a hit in Italy. The song's melodic rock arrangement and Tosolini's vocals gave the band an early foothold.
Rubino left the band in 2015, and guitarist Roberto Mastrosanti joined later. They've released seven studio albums, with songs like 'Nuovi Jeans' and 'I Miei Guai' appearing alongside 'Cenere' in their catalog. Their music tends toward atmospheric rock with introspective lyrics, avoiding much of the grandiosity common in the genre.
In 2006, Nashley faced unsubstantiated plagiarism claims over the song 'Sentirti Vicino,' but they kept recording through the 2000s and 2010s. The current lineup includes Tosolini, Marotta, Formiello, and Mastrosanti.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
