Her first album came out in 1986 when she was ten, and its title track "Puszek Okruszek" became a hit in Poland. She was known as a child star then, though some people questioned whether her image and lyrics were too grown-up for her age.
In the mid-1990s she shifted toward a more adult pop sound with albums like "Światło" from 1996. Songs such as "Ani Słowa" and "Będzie Jak Ma Być" kept her on Polish radio. She has worked with her husband Michał Dąbrówka on several recordings, and her discography includes releases like "Autoportret" (2000), "Puls" (2007), and "Halo tu Ziemia" (2022).
Kukulska performs as a solo artist, bringing in different musicians for tours and studio sessions. In 2012 her rendition of the Polish national anthem at an official event drew criticism for being unconventional, but she didn't back down from her approach.
