Natália Xavier was born in São Paulo in 1984. In the early 2000s, she formed the experimental band Revirada, which blended traditional Brazilian rhythms with electronic elements. Their self-titled debut album came out in 2005, and the single 'Revirada' became a notable track for them.
Revirada's sound drew from samba, funk, and MPB, with later albums like 'Lágrimas' in 2008 and 'Euforia' in 2012. Xavier handled lead vocals and songwriting for the group, which included musicians like Rodrigo Campos on guitar and Marcelo Jeneci on keyboards.
Some of her other songs include 'A Insistência Das Manhãs', 'Penélope', and 'Confios'. Her performances and outspoken style sometimes drew mixed reactions, but the band developed a following for their eclectic approach to Brazilian music.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
