Natalie Wood

Natalie Wood was a band that formed around lead vocalist Natalie Wood, with guitarist Kate Schellenbach, bassist Carissa Johnson, and drummer Linda Tillery. They put out their self-titled debut album in 1982, which included the song 'I Feel Pretty.' That track became their most recognizable piece, a straightforward pop tune that connected with listeners at the time.

They followed up with 'The Natalie Wood Album' in 1985 and a live record in 1987. Schellenbach left the band in 1985, which was noted as a significant change in their lineup. The group's music, particularly 'I Feel Pretty,' was often discussed in terms of self-empowerment, though some critics questioned their approach. They weren't around for a particularly long stretch, but that one song stuck.
