Natalio Rodrigues

Natalio Rodrigues was a Brazilian singer-songwriter from Rio de Janeiro who started in the early 1970s. He was part of the bohemian collective Pato Fu before going solo. In 1975, he released his debut album 'Era Bom Demais,' which included the song 'Criança.'

'Criança' became his most recognized work, a straightforward song about childhood and growing up that connected with listeners in Brazil. The track's plain lyrics and melody gave it staying power without needing dramatic production.

Rodrigues worked during Brazil's politically tense 1970s, when some artists faced censorship. He kept recording through that period, though details about his later output are sparse. His music stayed grounded rather than chasing trends.
