Natanael Cano

Natanael Cano was born in Hermosillo, Sonora in 2002. He started playing guitar early, drawing from regional Mexican artists like Luis Coronel and Los Tucanes de Tijuana. In 2019, his song 'El Drip' caught on, mixing traditional corrido storytelling with hip-hop beats and a younger energy.

That blend became known as corridos tumbados, and Cano put out albums under that name. Songs like 'Pienso En Ella' and 'Toronto' show his approach: straightforward melodies, casual delivery, and lyrics that touch on street life and relationships. He works with a band called Los Natanaels, including guitarist Jorge Félix, bassist Luis Osuna, and drummer Edwin Padilla.

Cano has recorded with other artists, from regional figures like Ovi and Junior H to Snoop Dogg. His music has drawn attention for its subject matter and his own public incidents, including a 2020 arrest. He keeps releasing tracks like 'Low' and 'Arriba,' staying active in the space he helped define.
