At first I thought

My world would go to pieces

Then, I discovered that there’s a world without you

And I still have scars since you left

But they’re starting to heal

And I realized that

My world isn’t over

Didn’t think it would go like that

But it did and I’m glad

I could see life, even without you in mine

I could see there’s life, life after you

(Even if you’re not here, to tell me you’re alright)

I still see you now and then

In clothes, in music and videos

But I don’t have your portrait on my nighstand anymore

Never knew that there was life without you

Cause I thought we were destined to be forever

Didn’t think it would go like that

But it did and I’m glad

I don’t believe in anything, but I always did

Believe that there were right times and wrong time for everything

And maybe you we only work out

When we’re being two wrecking boats

And that’s so sad to think about

But it appears to be the truth, so I guess I’ll except it
