Natural State formed in 2004 with Ethan James on vocals and guitar, Danny Carter on bass, and Jake Thomas on drums. They put out their first album, "Heartbeats," in 2007, which included the track "HEART BEATS."
Their songs like "Lead Me" and "So Real" often dealt with personal themes, and they released other albums such as "The Ghost of This Town" in 2010 and "Echoes and Echoes" in 2015. The band's music was sometimes described as alternative rock.
Ethan James had some struggles with addiction during the band's run, but he worked through it with support from the other members. Natural State's music appeared in some films and television shows.
