Naturalistas were a Brazilian band active in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Their self-titled debut album came out in 1978, followed by 'Iraci' in 1979. The group included Júlio Nascimento on vocals and guitar, Milton Nascimento on percussion, Robertinho Silva on bass, and Zé do Norte on drums.
Their song 'Iraci' became a notable track from that period. Júlio Nascimento wrote the lyrics, which tell a story about a young woman's longing. The music blended Brazilian rhythms with some jazz elements.
They released several more albums through the early 1980s, including 'Ninguém Segura' in 1981 and 'Vira Virou' in 1983. A live album came out in 1985. Their sound shifted somewhat over those years while keeping a foundation in Brazilian musical traditions.
